HEDKANDI LOVES LOCAL: LAGREE FITNESS AND PARKFORUM
In 2019, our focus is being the best version of ourselves possible! If that sounds up your alley, we've partnered with Lagree Fitness to exercise your body and PARKFORUM to exercise your mind for our January Loves Local feature! For your soul, we have a new playlist curated by DJ Pump and an update on some of our community initiatives over the holidays! Read on for details.
LAGREE YYC
We are OBSESSED with Lagree Fitness. It is a core-strengthening workout designed for full body conditioning using their patented Megaformer that consists of a moving platform and is maniupulated through a system of springs, straps, and cables in combination with your own body weight to provide resistance. Each movement is slow and controlled, forcing you to work intensely without impacting your joints.
Benefits of the Lagree Method include strengthening the body, increasing balance, toning and lengthening muscles, improving endurance, jump starting your metabolism, increasing flexibility, improving posture, and more! What's not to love?!
As our guest, Lagree is offering 20% off regularly priced Class Packs*. Simply use the code "Hedkandi" at the time of check out. See you there?
*offer is valid online or in-store until Feb. 28, 2019
PARKFORUM
PARKFORUM is a two-day event for creative entrepreneurs from all levels of experience to learn how to grow and sustain their businesses in the creative industry. This year, it takes place on the weekend of February 9 + 10 at cSpace King Edward.
Sessions will include beginner and advanced information on a variety of topics such as marketing, public relations, accounting, finance, legal, sales, human resources, manufacturing, business strategy, business values, and more!
As our guest, PARK is offering 15% off your weekend passes. Use code "HEDKANDILOVESLOCAL" at checkout. Weekend passes also include access to all of their speaker sessions, lunch on both days, and access to the industry mixer event on the Saturday evening.
Added bonus: Our direct of finance and systems, Wray Bokitch, will be speaking on a panel about motherhood and business, chatting about work-life balance, time management, and more!
COMMUNITY - PROJECT WARMTH
We wanted to offer a sincere thank you to all of our guests who donated or helped spread the word about our holiday clothing drive for Project Warmth. We were able to drop off a *literal* SUV-full of jackets, blankets, scarves, hats, mittens, and more for our city's vulnerable populations!
If you were not able to donate over the holidays, you can always donate your gently used winter items at your nearest fire hall!
If you are looking for other great ways to give back in 2019, we recommend starting with Volly- an online data base for Calgary volunteer opportunities and more!
MUSIC
DJ Pump has us starting our new year off right revisiting some of our favourite songs and artists from 2018 including music from Kacey Musgraves, DJ Koze, and even Mariah Carey. Tune in and turn up!
If you've got Apple Music, you can listen to and add our playlists directly to your library here. Once you've opened the link, select 'Listen on Apple Music' and then the big red 'Add' button to sync it to your library. You can also follow us @hedkandisalon to stay up to date!
Hedkandi and Butter love you!
